Is it not named because in the mid 19th Century, a man called Mc Dermott from Moville in County Donegal, Ireland had a post office along the railway line? To honour his town that he came from in Ireland, he named his post office Moville. As the trains had to stop and deliver the mail at this Post Office, a town grew up around it and thus the area became known as Moville.
