Movement for Justice and Development

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Movement for Justice and Development (Slovenian Gibanje za pravičnost in razvoj) is a movement, that was founded in 2006 by the president of Slovenia, dr. Janez Drnovšek.

It is not a political movement, although some people think it will eventually turn into a political party. Its aim is to "raise human consciousness and make the world a better place". The movement was founded on Turjak castle and many important political figures from Slovenia attended it.

When Drnovšek was asked if he was planning to run for a second term as a president, he said that he is considering stepping out of politics and focus on the movement instead. However, he hasn't publically announced his final decision yet.

The website of the movement sometimes draws attention from the media because Drnovšek occasionally posts his comments on recent events, signed as Janez D.
