Mountain View is a northwest Tucson high school, part of the Marana Unifed School District. Mountain View is one of the two high schools in the Marana Unfied School District. Mountain View is known for its high graduation rate, which stood at 98% in 2005, and number of college-bound students (about 85% in 2005). It is also know for its numerous clubs, currently there are 52 clubs at the school. John Madden, a chemistry teacher, won the 2005 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching the Nation’s highest honor for teaching in these fields.
