Mount Tantiss

The Mount Tantiss Storehouse is a location within the fictional Star Wars Expanded Universe. It was first described in the Timothy Zahn novel, Heir to the Empire, and is located on the planet Wayland.

The storehouse was where Emperor Palpatine kept useful technology for future use. Following Palpatine's death at the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Navy eventually came under the command of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who decided to find the storehouse and use the technology therein to destroy the New Republic (which he constantly referred to as "the Rebellion").

Upon arrival at the planet Wayland, Thrawn and Captain Pellaeon found the storehouse under the "guardianship" of Jedi Master, Joruus C'Baoth. After some issues, they managed to get the tacit consent of C'Baoth to enter the storehouse, wherein they found a huge cavern filled with Spaarti cloning cylinders and a working Cloaking Device, which Thrawn used in battle against the New Republic.

A New Republic force, including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Lando Calrissian and led by former Emperor's Hand, Mara Jade, accompanied by a group of Noghri commandos, infiltrated the Mount Tantiss storehouse, where Thrawn was growing clones at a remarkable rate. After defeating C'Baoth and his pet clone, Luuke Skywalker, they managed to destroy the cloning facility.
