[edit] History

Staffed by fourteen Marist Brothers, "The Mount" opened its doors to sixty-two boarding and day students on September 13, 1926. The school, equipped to teach both grammar and high school students, graduated its first class in June, 1930.

Mount Saint Michael Academy celebrated its diamond jubilee (75th anniversary) on September 13, 2001, just two days after nine of its alumni perished in the World Trade Center disaster.
