Mount Olympus in Utah, USA is the most prominent and recognizable mountain visible from much of the northern part of the Salt Lake Valley, though not the tallest. Mount Olympus is located in the Wasatch Range, immediately east of the center of the Salt Lake Valley. The highest outcropping on Olympus, dubbed "Summit Peak," rises above the valley to an elevation of 9,026 feet (2,751 m). Thus, the peak looms about 4,800 feet (1,500 m) above the valley floor.
