Mount Kabutoyama

Mount Kabutoyama (甲山 Kabuto-yama?) is a mountain in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. It is located in the east end of the Rokko Mountains, and a famous picnic spot in this region. The height of the mountain is 309 meters. It is a part of a very old volcano made 1,200 thousands years ago.

This mountain has a good shape like a helmet, 'Kabuto' in Japanese, and so has a long history as an object of worship by people around the mountain.Kanno-ji is in the middle of mountain as the place for worship to the mountain.
