Mount Cobb is located at 41°25′28″N, 75°30′19″W (41.424422, -75.505257)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 43.5 km² (16.8 mi²). 43.0 km² (16.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (1.07%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 2,140 people, 771 households, and 619 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 49.7/km² (128.7/mi²). There were 893 housing units at an average density of 20.7/km² (53.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.74% White, 0.09% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.05% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.33% of the population.

There were 771 households out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.9% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.7% were non-families. 16.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 29.9% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 98.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.4 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $44,725, and the median income for a family was $52,933. Males had a median income of $33,051 versus $23,971 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $20,855. About 1.4% of families and 2.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.5% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
