Mount Afadjato

Mount Afadjato is the highest mountain in Ghana even though it is only 880 m (2900ft) tall. The mountain is located in the Agumatsa Range near the village of Liati Wote right at the border with Togo. The nearby Aduadu is really the highest point in Ghana but because of a small relative height (height difference between the base and the peak) it is not considered a mountain [1].
According to [2], the name of the mountain derives from an Ewe word Avadzeto meaning "at war with bush." The name derives from the fact that a plant causing severe skin irritation is present on the slopes of the mountain so the farmers and hunters who used to climb the mountain were "at war" with the plants.
The nearby Tagbo Falls are also considered a tourist attraction.
