[edit] Er?

If you'd rather not have it, that's okay. You can remove it. The sentiment will remain. --Mothperson cocoon 15:47, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Sorry? I'm confused... Shimgray 16:03, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Ah, I see... thanks! I hadn't noticed... I may remove it whenever I get round to rewriting the page, but you never know... Shimgray 16:34, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Funny

Just so you know, Talk:List of misleading brand names of food and in particular the phrase "Wiki literal police" made me laugh longer and harder than almost anything else I've seen on Wikipedia. — Pekinensis 16:58, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

No, I don't know Mel beyond the fact that I read a lot of talk pages. Is he generally very literal? — Pekinensis 17:29, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Old cocoon 1?!

Oh Mothperson! Your wit is just so funny! Did you read my question about bales of hay? --HappyCamper 23:55, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Ah, I see...May I ask if you have had the chance to dine on salad graced with Sydney Smith's salad dressing? Just had to ask... :-) --HappyCamper 00:53, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
I can't seem to find much printed material about the Jello Belt. Do you have any ideas on where to look? --HappyCamper 00:53, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pizza

Hi. As someone who has previously commended the Pizza article, and someone whose input I value, I'd like to you take a look. Someone has been adding an Italian pizza recipe and Italian topping list to the article. Am I just crazy, or do these just seem horribly out of place? I've removed them once, but they reverted my changes, and I'm hesitant to push the issue without an outside view. -- Norvy (talk) 08:22, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Foods

No need for an apology:

  1. you were perfectly entitled to start the other article (and it was a reasonable article to start);
  2. I'm not very keen on the proposed merger, but it wouldn't be disaster;
  3. anyway, the "Misleading foods" article isn't my property, after all (I've just taken it under my wing).

As I once saw on a Yoghurt pot: "Farmer's Wife Hints: Keep cool". --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:20, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

I didn't bite you surely? I'm sure that I just nibbled gently... --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:53, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed merge

Hi, this is regarding the proposed merging of List of misleading brand names of food. I saw your views on the discussion and thought that I should leave you a personal note. It wasn't Mel who proposed it, it was me. In fact, Mel opposed it to start with and then, I think, he was okay either way after reading my views. I can understand the surprise that you may have felt by looking at the merge notice. I had a similar experience where I was shocked by an article about a book - produced verbatim from the article I'd written about its author. I promptly listed the book article for afd but later realised that the best way to solicit the information about the book and expand it was by having something to start with (even if it is verbatim copy frm my article). Actually, I do feel funny when I say "my article" because I neither own Wikipedia nor would want to dictate its legacy. My purpose in sending you this note is to persuade you to think about the merge situation in an impassionate manner. Thanks a ton, --Gurubrahma 09:54, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hello Mothperson!

FOr some reason, I am unblocked from editing, at least until a bunch of Saudi start messing up the Wiki again. I wanted to mention how much I appreciate all your work on the Candy bar page. Just because I cannot edit does not mean I do not notice. Paul, in Saudi 15:00, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Good Morning Mother Person!

I have to use a public server (if that is the right word) and so I have been blocked from editing for quite some time. In mid-September the block was lifted as suddenly as it was imposed. One of those crazy things I suppose. I have done a few things around here since, mostly with the operational code names. I see November is National Write a Novel Month. If i decide to go for it, I will have little time for posting here. (50,000 words is 30 days is .. a lot of words each day.)

Enjoy Italy, get out of Rome if you can. Don't be afraid to hit them with Spanish, I have found it usually works. Italians love drama, an exaggerated plea for help and big arm movements get all sorts of personal attention. I like Italy. I hope you do too. Paul, in Saudi 04:48, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello!

Hey! Glad to see you're back!! :-) :-) :-) Lots of stuff has changed, but project is still lively and healthy. Feel free to drop by anytime! --HappyCamper 18:59, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your message

Sorry not to have replied immdiately — I've been away too. Now I'm back, I wonder which article you were referring to; the foods one? I'll have to have a look when I get a minute. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:03, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
