Definition of Motor Vehicle

I don't know about elsewhere, but a motor vehicle is defined as "means a vehicle, not run on rails, that is designed to be self propelled or propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but does not include a motor assisted cycle". I don't know why people think they need to go to the DMV for a license to drive a motorized-wagon, which is not under the DMV's juris diction.71.51.90.14 00:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
