IMDb profile

Motocrossed is a Disney Channel Original Movie about a girl named Andrea Carson who loves motocross. However, her father disagrees with women racing and forbids her to ride. When Andrea's brother, Andrew, has an accident, Andrea secretly plans to race in his place with her mother's help while her father travels to Europe to find a rider. Ironically, Alana Austin (whom played Andrea in Motocrossed) would play in the movie Supercross as a sideline girl.

[edit] Plot details

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Andrea dresses up as Andrew in order to participate in a motocross racing competition. However, while racing, she meets Dean Talon, a fellow motocross racer, and befriends him as Andrew. She eventually falls for him but can not reveal her identity.

Andrea faces stiffer competition than she expected and soon falls in the rankings. With the help of Dean, she improves exponentially and is in line to race in the championship with the prize of a factory sponsorship. Her father returns unexpectedly from his trip with another rider whom Andrea dislikes thoroughly. He employs harsh tactics on the racing track and soon her father decides to fire him and allow Andrea to continue racing as Andrew.

In the end she wins the championship race but her true identity is revealed on live television. Although a competitor attempts to strip her sponsorship, she signed up as Andy, not Andrew, and retains her title. As a consequence of being discovered, her love interest, Dean Talon, storms away. A short time later, back at her home, Andrea is told to interview for 250 racers covered by her sponsorship. Dean shows up for the position and presumably all is forgiven.
