Before his 25th birthday, singer-songwriter-guitarist Mo Shaw had traveled the US by train, backpacked in Europe, experienced kibbutz life in Israel, ridden horseback through the Egyptian desert, cruised the Australian coastline, lived in the unpaved hills of rural Jamaica, and even managed to squeeze in starting his own family. Now, still a few years shy of 30, these adventurous experiences have provided ample inspiration for his composing, a broad catalogue of hundreds of songs ranging from bluegrass and gospel to hard rock and rap.
Aside from performing and recording his own music, Mo's soulful lead guitar can be heard with the Texcentrics, featuring singer-songwriter Sumner Erickson (youngest bro of Roky of the 13th Floor Elevators) as well as on several local artists’ recordings.
