The Most Known Unknown is the sixth full length album, as well as the second platinum album from Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia. It is the follow up to the 2003 album Da Unbreakables. It was released in 2005. This album is known for having some of Three 6 Mafia's biggest hits, including "Stay Fly" featuring Young Buck and 8 Ball & MJG, "Poppin' My Collar" featuring Project Pat(though Pat's verse wasn't included in the first edition, but would later be included in the re-issue) and "Side 2 Side" featuring Bow Wow and Project Pat (with Bow Wow and Project Pat's Verses, like the Poppin' My Collar Remix, would not be used in the first edition, but would be released in the re-issue, along with another remix featuring Kanye West and a slightly different sounding melody). This album would prove to be their biggest success to date, topping the old success of the 2000 album "When the Smoke Clears". Along with chart topping hits, this album also featured several well known guest rappers (including, but not limited to, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Trick Daddy, Mr. Bigg, 8 Ball & MJG, Young Buck, Remy Ma, Bow Wow(only on re-issue), Kanye West (only on re-issue), Lil' Flip, as well as the Hypnotize Camp Posse (Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Frayser Boy, Lil Wyte, Chrome, Boogey Mane, and Granddaddy Souf). Three 6 Member Lord Infamous was notably missing from both the tracks and the album cover. Many rumors speculated that he either left the group or was kicked out. These rumors were put to rest when DJ Paul, Lord Infamous' half-brother,and core-member, told sources that the reason for Infamous not being on the album was due to a stint in jail.He has since returned to the group and will be on future Hypnotize Minds releases, including Project Pat's next album Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story. Since this album's release, a lot of good things have been happening for Three 6 Mafia. This album would become their biggest album to date and produce some of the biggest hits of their career, they would also go on to win the Academy Award (along with Frayser Boy) for best song for It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp from Hustle & Flow, and were recruited by famous socialite Paris Hilton to do some production, and possibly guest vocals, on her upcoming debut album. But it wasn't all good, as core member Crunchy Black would leave the group, due in part to his frustration over DJ Paul and Juicy J never releasing his long awaited debut solo album. But he has since been replaced by Project Pat. The album still continues to thrive on the charts and currently has a re-issue (released in 2006) featuring remixes to "Poppin My Collar" and "Side 2 Side", as well as having Hard Out Here For A Pimp, with it being performed by Paul and Juicy instead of Terrance Howard, who performed in the film as well as the film's soundtrack.
