Moss Lane

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moss Lane is a multi-use stadium in Altrincham, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Altrincham F.C. and was the home ground of Manchester United F.C. Reserves until 2005. The stadium holds 6,150 people.

A rugby league team known as 'Trafford Borough' moved to Moss Lane for the 1989-90 season. Trafford Borough survived three seasons before relocating to Blackpool as 'Blackpool Gladiators' for the 1992-93 season.

It is not to be confused with the Moss Rose stadium in the nearby town of Macclesfield, the home of Altrincham's traditional rivals, Macclesfield Town.
