Mosaic Covenant

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mosaic Covenant, found in Exodus 19 through to the book of Deuteronomy, contains the foundations of the Torah. The Old Testament recounts how it plays out in history, and it is the background to the events and teachings of the New Testament. In this covenant, God promises:

  1. To make Israel His special possession among the people of the land.
  2. To make Israel a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. God followed it up with requirements and laws.
  3. To dwell amongst His people. He would be their God and they would be His people.
