Morskogen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Morskogen is a stretch of woodland on the Mjøsa, Norway's biggest lake. It is located between Eidsvoll, Akershus (the place where the Norwegian constitution was written in 1814) and Stange, Hedmark.
Morskogen is noted in Norwegian history as a battlefield between the Nazis and the Norwegian army during World War II. In latter times it is known mainly for being bypassed by one of Norway’s most dangerous roads, with an unusually high frequency of deaths caused by traffic accidents.
