Morristown is a small unincorporated community in Maricopa County, Arizona, located about 50 miles northwest of Phoenix, at the junction of Arizona State Route 74 and US 60. Morristown is included in the 85342 zip code, which had a population of 1402 as of the 2000 census.
Morristown is home to the Morristown Elementary School District.
Much of Morristown is located within the municipal planning area of Surprise, and Surprise intends to eventually annex the area. The portion of Morristown south of US 60, however, exists in small area between the planning areas of Surprise, Buckeye and Wickenburg, where neither city has expressed a planned interest in expanding. This raises the possibility that Morristown could retain a separate identity while other nearby communities are annexed into existing cities, and even the potential for incorporation as a city. However no serious efforts to incorporate Morristown currently exist.
