Morriston Hospital

Morriston Hospital is an 850 bed hospital located in Cwmrhydyceirw near Morriston, south Wales. It is the largest hospital in the city and county of Swansea and is operated by Swansea NHS Trust. Alongside its role as a district general hospital, it is the main trauma centre for the Swansea area and is home to the Wales Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery. Most services are housed in buildings constructed since 1981.
In addition to general surgical and medical services, it houses the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery and one of the two Cardiac Centres in Wales. Other services include renal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, rheumatology and palliative care. The Tŷ Olwen hospice, a popular Swansea charity, is also located at Morriston Hospital.
