The Isis was a six-cylinder midsize car from the Morris Motor Company in the 1950s. It sold extremely poorly, with just 12,155 built, and was not immediately replaced. The Isis name was first used by Morris on a car made from 1930 to 1931..

The Series I Isis was launched in 1955 as an attempt to move the marque into the large-car arena. It featured a six-cylinder engine, the 2.6 L (2639 cc/161 inĀ³) C-Series unit from the Austin Westminster. It was based on the 4-cylinder Oxford Series II, sharing its almost-unibody shell and torsion beam front suspension. The bonnet was lengthened to accept the larger straight-6 engine, and a "woody" 4-door estate version was a novelty. With the strong engine, the Isis could reach 90 mph (145 km/h). Sales were poor, however, with just 8,500 sold.

In order to accelerate sales, BMC redesigned the Isis for 1956 with updated styling including a more elaborate mesh grille, chrome side strips and small fins. An automatic transmission option was also added. Sales remained weak, and the line ended in 1958.
