Morris Hills Regional High School District

The Morris Hills Regional District is a comprehensive regional public school district that consists of two four-year public high schools serving four suburban communities in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The district serves a total of 2,662 students.

The district serves the residential communities of Denville Township (766 students), Rockaway Borough (315 students), Rockaway Township (1,250 students) and Wharton (331 students).[1]

For the 1996-97 school year, both Morris Hills High School[2] and Morris Knolls High School[3] were named as "Star Schools" by the New Jersey Department of Education, the highest honor that a New Jersey school can achieve.

Students in grades 9 - 12 attend one of the district's two schools:

  • Morris Hills High School serves students from Rockaway Borough, Wharton, and parts of Rockaway Township . The school is located in Rockaway Borough.
  • Morris Knolls High School serves students from Denville and parts of Rockaway Township. The school is located in Denville.
