Morrie Turner

Morrie Turner (born December 12, 1923) is the creator of the comic strips Wee Pals, KID Power, and Rainbow Club. In 1965, the strip Wee Pals became the first comic strip syndicated in the United States to have a cast of diverse ethnicity. He was recognized for his work on this strip and others with the National Cartoonist Society Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
