Moron Movies

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moron Movies were 30- to 60-second short films created by Len Cella of Broomall, Pennsylvania. They were shown at the Lansdowne Theater in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania on Saturday nights in the 1970s and 1980's and eventually came to the attention of Johnny Carson, who screened a few Moron Movies on The Tonight Show.

Len Cella wrote, filmed, and starred in Moron Movies. In "The Advantages of Having Warts", Cella stuck baby bottle nipples on his face to resemble large warts. Other titles included "Hitler in First Grade", "How to Clean the Toilet Without Gagging", "Jello Makes a Lousy Doorstop", "Punishing a Camera For Shooting Bad Photos" and "Animals Should Wear Underwear".

The short films were compiled on two VHS tapes, Moron Movies and More Moron Movies, which are available from Amazon.com.
