Morning Musume Sakuragumi (モーニング娘。 さくら組? , also romanized as Morning Musume Sakura Gumi) is one of the subgroups that divided the Japanese pop group Morning Musume in 2003. Its equivalent to Morning Musume Otomegumi.
The words sakura (さくら?) and gumi[1] (組?) means "cherry blossom" and "group," respectively. If translated in English, the group's name will be "Morning Musume, the Cherry Blossom Group."

[edit] Notes and references
- ^ Kumi (くみ?) is the rōmaji of the kanji "組" when used alone. If the kanji is used with an another word — in this case, otome — the rōmaji will be gumi (ぐみ?).
- ^ a b When Natsumi Abe graduated from Morning Musume, Mari Yaguchi took the role as the group's leader.
