Morgana battles Diana Prince.
Morgana battles Diana Prince.

Diana Prince becomes involved with the plight of a teenage boy, Henry, who has been turned into a frog. This results when a coven of teenagers accidentally conjures up the long-lost Morgana, daughter of the ancient sorceress Morgaine le Fey. The "manic-depressive" Morgana is more mischievous than evil, but causes considerable chaos until I Ching, who turns out to have magical abilities along with his martial arts skills, banishes her. Unfortunately Henry is still a frog, but this is remedied when his girlfriend consents to break the spell by kissing him.

It was reported at the time that Mike Sekowsky wanted to spin off Morgana into her own series, but the idea fell through.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Like her mother Morgaine Le Fey, she is a sorceress skilled in the use of black magic. Most of her spells were more playful than harmful (including a love spell on an ugly woman so that men pursue her, bankers tossing out handfuls of money at passersby, hippies and police singing peacefully together, stuffed toys being turned into real animals and set free, and turning Henry into a frog).

[edit] Appearances in Other Media

A different version of Morgana appeared on the Wonder Woman television series. Morgana was played by Brenda Benet. It appears that this version was simply using "Morgana Le Fay" as a stage name.
