Morgan Strebler

Morgan Strebler is a close up and stage magician known for his amazing metal bending. He has come out with several products including his famous fork routine, Liquid Metal (on DVD produced by Penguin magic), which he performs nightly in his act at the bellagio in Las Vegas. Other illusions he has released include The Opener, Spun, and The Closer. He is competing in the 2006 FISM convention in Stockholm, Sweden in the "close up mentalism" category.

He has a son named Hunter (born June 18) and a wife named Mikala.

Biography

Morgan's entree into the World of Illusion began as a child when his parents gave him a magic set for his birthday. Instantly bitten by the "magic bug", Morgan began performing for family and friends. By his early teens, he was a local celebrity, performing close-up and stage magic for birthday parties, corporate events and church functions. At age 17, Morgan was immersed in the design and construction of his first full-scale illusion show. The show opened with Morgan magically producing a convertible sports car out of thin air!

That first show held greater significance for Morgan then even he anticipated. He was joined with Mikala, who would become his personal and professional partner. Morgan & Mikala started doing magic shows throughout the Midwest, capturing the attention of numerous television and radio stations. In an astonishing display of wizardry, Morgan & Mikala shocked and amazed the public when they vanished a 20-story municipal power plant that sprawled over 2 city blocks! Morgan stretched his creative capabilities even further when he became the youngest magician in the world to catch a live bullet between his teeth. This deadly illusion, which had killed 13 performers in the past, garnered front-page newspaper coverage for Morgan, as well as exposure on the CBS Evening News.

Feeling the call of the World Mecca of Magic, Morgan, Mikala and their young son, Caleb, soon called Las Vegas home. During this past year, the dynamic magical duo finalized design and completed construction of their revolutionary, multi-million show, which ranks as one of the largest in existence.

Along the way to their Magical Destiny, Morgan & Mikala have assembled a top-notch team. To insure world-class advice and counsel, Morgan recently forged a new relationship with a highly regarded, Las Vegas-based management group. This seasoned team of entertainment professionals has worked with some of this generation’s brightest stars. Their upcoming Las Vegas show will be supported by a professional cast of over twenty dancers and crew. Morgan & Mikala rely on the stellar technical expertise of Greg Mulvey of LA-based Presto Productions to capture their "magical presence" on the World-Wide Web and in custom video productions.

The buzz is spreading fast about The Magic of Morgan & Mikala. In the past few years, they were featured in a front-page article in the Los Angeles Times, interviewed live by the BBC in London and Scotland, performed on the NBC special, Extreme Variety, contributed their magical skills to a national television commercial, and entertained a “Who’s Who” list of Hollywood celebrities at a party given by Michael Jackson at his Neverland Ranch Estate.

During 2005, The Magic of Morgan & Mikala went “international” during a tour in Seoul, Korea. They performed hundreds of sold-out shows in the spectacular 2,200-seat SeoulLand Amphitheatre. Also, Morgan performed personally for scores of Hollywood stars and celebrities, such as Tom Hanks, Ben Stiller, Jude Law, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Jordan, John Stamos, Paris Hilton, Tara Reid, Vince Neal of Motley Crue, Carson Daly, Jason Biggs, Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley, R. Kelly, Ice T, and Anna Nicole Smith. The year’s most memorable highlight came when magic’s undisputed “living legend”, David Copperfield, invited Morgan to give a private performance for him and his crew after his Las Vegas performance at the MGM Grand. During 2006, look for Morgan in television specials and documentaries on E! Entertainment Television, Bravo and VH-1. Let the games begin! Morgan Strebler, master illusionist and internationally renowned Psycho-Kinesis (PK) superstar, today issued a brash, “no holds barred”, public challenge to “Mindfreak” magician, Criss Angel, on WLIR’s “Real Radio Show” with Frankie Dee in New York City.

Morgan boldly declared, “Criss likes to issue challenges. Now, I’m bringing one directly to his doorstep! Criss looks good when he performs in a controlled environment with multiple camera angles and creative editing. And, he’s pretty good at making balloon animals for the kiddies. Let see how well he does in the real world! Let’s see how well he does with head-to-head magic on a live stage, in the street, and strapped to a table for 24/7 Chinese water torture until one of us breaks……..ONE camera, NO split screens and BOTH of us in full view at all times! Someone has to look out for the legions of loyal fans of legitimate magic. I am tired of seeing them disrespected and subjected to ”magic” that is long on camera tricks and short on talent!”

For the finale of their proposed challenge, Morgan said he chose Chinese water torture because, “…….it is the ultimate, centuries old torture technique used to break down the strongest of men. The slow dripping of water onto the forehead has driven many victims insane. The relentless cycle of apprehension, tension, shock and relief eventually leads to a total breakdown.”

Talking directly to Angel, Morgan ratcheted up the rhetoric by stating, “Criss, you’re busy. I’m busy. So what?!? Call my management and let’s work out the details. You like to talk smack and issue challenges to others. Now, the shoe’s on the other foot! Don’t duck this challenge because I won’t stop until you answer. Remember, everyone’s watching, Criss! “No!” is not an excuse. It’s your admission of defeat. And, to ignore my challenge is the ultimate insult to all magic fans around the world!”

Further, Morgan asserted, “Magic and its loyal fans need more reality, more honesty…….and less deception. If Criss decides to show up, that will all change! Let the live audience see everything. Let the television audience see everything. Let’s stream it on the World Wide Web and let the world see everything! NO breaks! NO intermissions! Who’s better to monitor this competition than magic fans?! Let’s both give our fans what they really want and deserve……..unfiltered, unedited magic talent and entertainment!”
