Morgan Mellish

Henry Morgan Saxon Mellish (March 14, 1970 – March 7, 2007), better known as Morgan Mellish, was an Australian journalist for Fairfax Media. He was educated at Shore School North Sydney (1982-1987).
In 1997 he joined the Sydney Morning Herald as a staff writer, before moving to the Australian Financial Review. He served on the federal Parliamentary press gallery in Canberra, before moving to Sydney to cover business news. In 2006 he won a Walkley Award for a scoop on the tax affairs of Reserve Bank of Australia board member Rob Gerard. That year he was also appointed to the Australian Financial Review's Jakarta bureau.
Morgan Mellish was a passenger killed on Garuda Indonesia Flight 200 when it crashed at Yogyakarta airport on 7 March 2007. [1] He was part of an advance party to cover the visit of Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer.
