Morgan Mason

Alexander Morgan Mason (born June 26, 1955 in Los Angeles, California, USA) is an American actor, film producer and politician.

He is the son of the British actor James Mason and the actress Pamela Ostrer. His grandfather Isidore Ostrer co-ran Gaumont-British with his brothers. As a child, he acted in the films "The Sandpiper" and "Hero's Island."

He is a former special assistant to the President of the United States. In 1979 he went to work on Ronald Reagan's 1980 Presidential Campaign and in 1981 he became Special Assistant to the President. He to this day is the youngest advisor to the President of the United States in history. He also served as Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Protocol for a short time, and is also to this day the youngest delegate to any political convention. He was a Reagan delegate to the 1980 Republican National Convention in Detroit, Michigan.

Mason never returned to politics, but did return to the entertainment industry with success, running London Films in 1987 and producing the Cannes Film Festival winner Sex, Lies and Videotape. In 1986 he married singer Belinda Carlisle, who in 1992 gave birth to their son, James Duke Mason. After the Northridge Earthquake in 1994, Mason moved his family to Europe.
