Morgan (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Morgan was a progressive rock band formed (and disbanded) in the early 70's. Featuring former Smile vocalist and bassist Tim Staffell, The Love Affair's Bob Sapsed on bass, Maurice Bacon on drums and (the band's namesake) Morgan Fisher on keyboards, the band recorded two albums of keyboard-driven exploratory rock, often delving into science-fiction imagery and sprawling mutli-suite compositions. The band recorded two albums before disbanding; Staffell went on to craft models for the popular Thomas the Tank Engine children's program, while Fisher continued performing music, first with Mott the Hoople and later recording albums as a solo artist.
