Morbulus is a villainous pilot in the animated television series SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron who literally has eyes in the back of his head, giving him 360-degree vision. He appears in the episode The Giant Bacteria. Morbulus (for reasons never revealed) attempts to destroy all the oil refineries in Megakat City, in a spree dubbed by the media as the Refinery Reign of Terror. He ends up being defeated by the SWAT Kats, who use a Cookie-Cutter Missile to "cut" the pilot from the cockpit of his jet, seat and all. Grabbing him with the Sky Claw as he fell, they dump Morbulus into the bay. However, by the time The Enforcers arrive, all they find of Morbulus was his empty clothes.
In his underwear, Morbulus climbs into a sewage drain pipe where he encounters Dr. Viper. The evil biochemist take Morbulus back to his lab in Megakat Swamp, where he turns the defeated villain into a "living test tube" for his bacteria strain, mutating him into a hulking bacteria blob. He is then used by Dr. Viper in his attempt to raid Megakat Biochemical Labs. Essentially dead following his mutation anyway since he becomes totally mindless, the SWAT Kats ensure that Morbulus is gone for good by destroying all of the resulting bacteria monsters (they divide whenever hit) using electricity.

According to Mark Lungo's Animato! article about the series, Morbulus' name was originally going to be Occulus. This was changed when it was discovered there was already a Marvel villain with the same name, to avoid legal problems. Morbulus is still called Occulus in the storyboards and model sheets for The Giant Bacteria however.
