Moonlight Basin is a ski resort in southwestern Montana located in the Madison Range of the Rocky Mountains near the small village of Big Sky, MT. It shares a common mountain, Lone Peak, with nearby Big Sky Resort. The summit of the mountain can be hiked from Moonlight Basin or accessed by the Lone Peak Tram, part of Big Sky Ski Resort. Terrain consists of open bowls, chutes, tree skiing, moguls, groomers, and beginner runs. The resort also has a golf course, fine dining, spa, and lodging. A full day adult lift ticket is $40.

The parent company of the ski resort, Moonlight Basin Ranch, has committed a significant percentage of its land holdings to conservation.
