Hi! So what are we going to do about the elektron alloy(s)? I believe this material exists just like coca-cola :-) What should I do to keep it there? Have a nice day. Twisp

Washington Mutual revenue data
Well I always use Yahoo Finance for my data and not Yahoo biz. Yahoo finance here is the data I used. I haven't been able to reproduce this data anywhere else. The data you found I have been able to reproduce in many sources. For the time being I will put your data until i can find out how Yahoo Finance came up with 18.960B. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 14:55, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. Actually the Wal-Mart Superstore and the Pyramid of the Moon are both visible from the Wal-Mart parking lot, from the top of the pyramid, and from several other locations. It actually is located an easy walk from the Pyramid in other words. It's right outside the area that the United Nations' chief cultural agency, UNESCO, declared a World Heritage Site, and the construction had to be approved by Mexico's National Institute for Archaeology before permits were issued.
Even so, an altar was discovered one foot underneath the parking lot during construction, excavated and conserved on-site. Wal-Mart had to plant tall shrubbery to attempt to conceal the store... basically it is right next door, closer than my next-door neighbors were at the last place I lived. I reinserted the picture to the criticism section of Wal-Mart with a caption like 'is within easy walking distance' from the superstore, I don't think thats inaccurate or uncharitable, it may imply "convenience" to some. If you like, please make appropriate changes to the caption. If you are interested, this link is a link to a google of Walmart Teotihuacan. I welcome any comment you may have... thanks for taking the time.Pedant 2005 June 30 23:26 (UTC)

- Thanks, I had tried to find an exact distance between the 2 locations, I really do appreciate you digging out the information and being so civil and diligent with respect to a 'minor' detail. Great wikipediation on your part. Cheers! Thanks for your contributions in general too. Pedant 18:51, 2005 July 19 (UTC)

Hi, there. I didn't delete the pic; I just lowered it a couple of paras to balance the ToC. But you're right, I should have explained that in the edit summary. I'll try to be more assiduous about that. –Hajor 12:57, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

Dear Monkeyman,
please, take a second to take a look at this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:GraemeL#Why_my_external_links_are_blocked.3F . This is my point of view and seems, that GraemeL agrees with it. So, please, do not delete links (actually there is only one link) to mortgage-site-tools.com .
Thank you, WBW, Ivan.

Actually, there is NO spam. I have placed ONE link and you have reverted it twice.

About the Virginia article
Is there anyway we could edit the "Regions of Virginia" section of the page to look more like the other states. So it would say "Commonwealth of Virginia" with government, history and etc. underneath? 17:48, 5 February 2006 Mahtanza (About the Virginia article)

Virginia template - newer version
I assume that your thought is to replace the current template named Virginia which is positioned at the bottom of the article. If so, I think that the draft is better and would work well in this article. However, I believe the current template is also used in many other individual Virginia articles (ie various regions, counties, cities, etc.) and I am not sure how they would be impacted or how other contributors feel.
We could try and see if we pick up any objections to this somewhat larger and more informative version. Personally, I like the new one better. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for your work on it. Mark in Historic Triangle of Virginia Vaoverland 21:38, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I've been involved in a number of article RfC's, and in all cases, the discussion focused on the talk page. If you want to discuss the issue, make a section on the talk page with examples. The current status of the actual article has no bearing on the RfC. —Viriditas | Talk 23:00, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

credit card interest page
Question: I see by the history that you are determined to be rid of one external link on the credit card interest page, yet it seems as relevant as the others. I'm a bit new to Wikipedia -- why is that link less worthy in your opinion? 11:18, 7 February 2006 64.24.224.39

Prussian Blue
Hi there! Thanks for your message and advice. I haven't registered yet-- but it is on my list of things to do. Obviously I am new to Wikipedia, so I am still learning things. About the Talk page on Prussian Blue. My resource was Wikipedia's page in external links, which stated when they should be used and cautioned against using Wikipedia as a links farm. I will look at the other resource. I did in fact ask that there be some discussion on the Talk page, but the person who wants to use the page to promote Prussian Blue doesn't seem to be interested. He just says that he doesn't agree then reverts.I don't have any interest in going back and forth like this, so I really want to know what the procedure to solve situations like this. PB is a contentious and controversial page-- there are a lot of people who vandalize it regularly, both anti-racists and racists. A lot of good editors have been driven away as a result. If there is a way to formally request resolution (and if this is even appropriate) I would love to know. Thank you for your time! 38.2.108.125 17:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I forgot to put a title on my last message.
- I have noticed for example that slowly all links that show the group in a critical light have been deleted-- to be repalced by five different "fan sites" and/or personal blogs kept by PB and their mother. This strikes me as promotional rather than encyclopedic. Anyway, it seems to be impossible to keep the page objective when fans sweep in every day to revert back what they don't like. 38.2.108.125 17:14, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply to my concerns regarding the Prusian Blue page. Frankly, I have given up on that page-- I don't think it is possible to keep it from being turned into a promotional page, and I agree that my time might be better spent elsewhere. Anyway, thanks for replying. 38.2.108.125 19:49, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Don't give up on Wikipedia just because it seems impossible to keep one article NPOV. When things get heated, I've found it helps to remove those links from your watch list for a few days. It helps things cool down and gives you a fresh viewpoint. There are a ton of good things going on at Wikipedia. It'd be a shame to lose you as an editor just because of one bad experience. So ... when are you going to sign up for that account??? :) Monkeyman(talk) 19:55, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh I'm not giving up on Wikipedia! Just re-evaluating where I want to be active, and where I can be of most use. I definitely will be signing on for an account very soon. Overall, it has been a good experience, even where things sometimes get controversial. Thanks! 38.2.108.125 20:00, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Spamming
Okay, Monkeyman. You are NOT going to defame me or my site. I was not spamming wickpedia!! Obviously someone (YOU?) kept deleting my site, which happens to be a not-for- profit depression website which is an extremely informative, supportive and peer related depression website. I had, nor do I have any idea whatsoever how wickpedia works. I just know that a member of ours posted quite awhile ago telling my moderators that she found us on wickpedia.... She had posted the url and surprise, surprise... there we were. I had NO idea how, when, or why. Back to now....*I* was just spammed by an extremist, terribly horrible group and so I came looking for information about it, then I went to look at the depression articles while I was here and found my site was not anywhere in sight. So I registered and submitted my url next to my other peers' websites on depression. Admittedly I was trying to find and keep my URL on there that someone, (I do not know who), had submitted months ago and I kept thinking that something on this site is really wrong or broken as the URL kept disappearing after continuously editing it.... Here it was YOU deleting it all that time! I have NO idea why you have targeted my site and kept on deleting it. Period. I am NOT a spammer. I have had my share of spammers as I did the other day and would not wish it on anyone! ick. Amazingly, you 'allow' such simular depression sites to add their URL? For example:
- DepressioNet: board for depression sufferers.
- Wing of Madness Forum - Message board and chat (They are listed on my portal)
- BluePages
- TrappedMinds.org
- HealthyPlace.com
Thank you so much for excluding me amongst my 'peers' <smile> --Lindsay FL 07:23, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Lindsay FL. The link to your site was being added to several articles by the same user and it was being added to two places within the same article. These were the only contributions this user was making. This pattern of edits is usually recognized as spam additions. Typically, contributors to wikipedia add more than just external links to multiple pages. After the links were removed the same behavior was repeated by new user Lindsay_FL. I left a message in my edit summary inviting you to discuss your external link on the talk page. Sorry I upset you, I'm just trying to keep wikipedia from being used as free advertising. Feel free to open a discussion on the talk page to have your link readded. Monkeyman 15:02, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
reverting Mnemonic page
I am curious as to why you reverted about three and half month's worth of edits in Mnemonic the other day. There were several good contributions to that page over that time and I see no reason to delete it all out (rather than manually going through and deleting unneeded information, for example). There may have been many needed edits that you thoughtlessly removed. I would simply revert your reversion, but I assume you have a reason and I would like to hear it first. Thanks.-Platypus Man | Talk 06:34, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Platypus222. That revert was a mistake on my part and I'm not sure how it happened. I went and set it back to version '00:09, 11 February 2006'. It's very strange, the October version wouldn't even have been available for me to select on the history page. Monkeyman 14:14, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- I added back the edits from the last few days as well. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and also thanks for assuming good faith! Monkeyman 18:09, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Monkeyman: Take a look at my site. It is probably the biggest website about bankruptcy in the U.S. It contains hundreds of topics of interest to anyone exploring bankruptcy as an option. Commercial site, it is, but you look at it and tell me that the content does not way surpass in value the commercial aspect. Whatever you decide is fine. Thanks, Jorcutt 20:34, 16 February 2006 Jorcutt@nc.rr.com
- Hi Jorcutt. We would love to have you as an editor with Wikipedia but we unfortunately cannot accept commercial links. Wikipedia articles are under constant barrage from advertisers and it's nearly impossible to keep the articles clean. Please consider using your bankruptcy expertise to improve the content of the article, we are sorely in need of specialists like yourself. Thanks! Monkeyman 01:45, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Where did you park your TARDIS?
That's impressive! You remove links from Bankrupty, ask for comments, and I left a comment, and you said whoops sorry — but a full five minutes before my comment was stored, by my records!
Okay, the sensible answer is that you were replying to someone else, but hey, it'd be fun to imagine the other away around!
PS, you will probably get the other link restored by Seantyrer, see his talk page for my current discussion with him. I think the links are well intentioned (and to a non-proft site) but personally think they're somewhat over inserted, rather than pure spam, which is a pity as his text edits are very good.
