Montgomery County High School, is located in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky, and is the only high school within Montgomery county. Current enrollment of the school is 1,204 students.

The Indian is the school mascot and team nickname for all sports teams. Recently, the Lady Indians basketball team (Girls Varsity Basketball Team) won the 11th Region Championship for the third year in a row, thus earning yet another trip to the state tournament, which will be held in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

MCHS recently added another gym to the school. The new gym is the 1 of the 3 gyms that the school has. It is called The Palace, and seats 4,000.
