Montfermeil is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 17.2 km. (10.7 miles) from the center of Paris.

It has a residential area and a "ghetto" area called "les Bosquets".

Montfermeil is famous as the location of Thénardier's inn in Les Misérables.

Montfermeil is served by no station of the Paris Métro, RER, or suburban rail network. The closest station to Montfermeil is Le Chénay – Gagny station on Paris RER line E. This station is located in the neighboring commune of Gagny, 3.1 km.(1.9 miles) from the town center of Montfermeil.
