Montelupo Fiorentino is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 20 km southwest of Florence. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 12,079 and an area of 24.6 km2.[1]

The municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ambrogiana, Botinaccio, Camaioni, Citerna, Erta, Fibbiana, San Quirico, Samminiatello, Sammontana, Pulica, and Turbone.

Montelupo Fiorentino borders the following municipalities: Capraia e Limite, Carmignano, Empoli, Lastra a Signa, Montespertoli.
