Monte Aprazível

Monte Aprazível is a municipality/county in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2005 is 18,982 and the area is 482.93 km².[1] The elevation is 475 m.

It was founded by Captain Porfirio de Alcantara Pimentel, he was born in Areias, São Paulo`s state in 1843. He died at Monte Alto in September 1, 1919. City of "the dam of the dreams". Name origin: Not sure, but it's believed that comes from the small elevations (holy place) with a light wind.
