Montana's Cookhouse

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Montana's Cookhouse is a Canadian restaurant headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario. There are restaurants across Canada from British Columbia to New Brunswick plus Nova Scotia and also locations in Michigan and New York State. The original name was Montana's Cookhouse Saloon, but when the restaurants entered the states the name Saloon was removed because it was not the image they wanted for it. The theme of the restaurant is of a lodge/wilderness setting and they are known in Canada for their Ribs and other lodge fare. The restaurant aims to be a family/casual concept, rather than fine dining. Recently, CARA has promoted Montana's with a new set of TV ads and a lot more is being spent on promoting the concept. The original idea was thought up by Kelsey's inc. owner Paul Jeffrey and President Nils Kravis, but is now owned by CARA foods.

The chain is owned by Cara Operations.
