[edit] Beginning of Student Instruction
MDCHS first opened its doors to 18 freshman, the only grade level offered in 2003. In the Spring of 2005, MDCHS faced closing unless funds were raised quickly. Four parents spearheaded the SOS(Save Our School) campaign and were able to keep the doors open. Fall of 2005 saw an increase in enrollment by 36 students. Since then enrollment has been strong and the current student population is 89 for all four grade levels. The SOS campaign has since been dissolved in response to the renewed stability of the school.
