Monkeyman and O'Brien is a comic book created by Art Adams and published by Dark Horse Comics.
The series follows the story of Ann O'Brien, the daughter of a famous scientist working on interdimensional travel. When his experimental machine is accidentally activated it pulls into our world Axewell Tiberius, a 10 foot tall super-intelligent gorilla-like being from a parallel world. The accident also bathes Ann in radiation that makes her grow to seven feet tall and grants superhuman strength, endurance and speed. Axewell quickly becomes Ann's friend and the two face numerous silver age style threats including The Shrewmanoid, and the Froglodytes
The two have also encountered the super-team Gen-13.

Dark Horse Extra: In 1998, the characters appeared in a six-part strip in this oversized free Dark Horse newspaper. O'Brien wakes up to the sound of a siren when one of Monkeyman's new projects, a "Florek Bio-Mass Augmenter," starts malfunctioning wildly. A blast from the machine hits her before Monkeyman can destroy it; when he helps her get off the ground, she's suddenly looking down her nose at him. ("Hey! Aren't you usually three feet taller than me?") O'Brien grows exponentially, bursting through the roof of the estate then wrecking a large section of San Francisco by trying to walk away. President Bill Clinton reluctantly ("but she's so cute!") fires nuclear weapons to take her down, but by the time they reach their target, O'Brien's too big to feel more than a sting. She outgrows the planet, than the galaxy, and is bursting into Heaven when she... wakes up from the nightmare.
The story is notable for a few details. It's the only Monkeyman and O'Brien story to be revealed as a dream at the conclusion. In installment four, O'Brien cries about her situation and the things she can now never do, concluding with: "And I'll n-n-never have a B-B-BOYFRIEND!" This is the only indication in the series that O'Brien is single or lonely. In 2000 the was animated by Dark Horse for a website promotion. [1] Suprisingly, it is the last Monkeyman and O'Brien story published to date.
