Monivae College

Monivae College is a Catholic secondary coeducational day and boarding school in Hamilton, Victoria, Australia. Set on 48 hectares, the college was founded in 1954 by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.
The high school is recognised within the district for its high quality facilities. Monivae is also recognised as a highly competent school in the area of sport and academic learning. In 2007 604 students attended Monivae, 70 of whom are boarders from both around the country and further abroad. Although, with the new students in 2007, Monivae has been able to break the 700 mark on the population of the highly-acclaimed school.
As of 2007, Bernard Neal is the principal of the college. Since his appointment in 2000, he has incorporated many changes in the school including the highly acclaimed EXCEL program, designed for a smooth transition from primary to secondary school. He has been quoted as to say "We are not a perfect school, rather a great school, although we are on a deliberate path towards improvement."
