Monique (born January 20, 1975) is an African-American porn actress. She grew up in Lancaster, California in the Antelope Valley area.
According to Monique herself on her website www.Moniquesweb.com, she was a tomboy growing up and a bit of a bully. She was very athletic and talented in school, participating in Track & Field, Gymnastics, Cheerleading and even played the clarinet in the school band. At age 16, she had her first sexual experience with a boy that she had a major crush on. Later, she would work as a dancer at an exotic strip club and was discovered by a husband/wife couple who introduced her to a popular gentleman's magazine called Players. The wife later went into adult entertaiment herself as Taylor Wane.
Monique eventally made her way into adult films in 1996 at age 21. Her first film was Sista, Vol. 4. A popular ethnic-themed series featuring just women (mainly African-American women). An admitted bi-sexual, she did these types of films for nearly a year before doing her first heterosexual scene in Black Cheerleader Search #12. Since then, she's gone full tilt into the world of porn with her slim but toned physique and energenic performances that are very reminicient of past porn stars Heather Hunter and Kobe Tai in the sense that they are seemingly very genuine and she seems to be really enjoying herself. She has also performed under the name Sugar.
Currently, she is into over a decade in adult films and is showing no signs of slowing down.
