Monika Griefahn

Monika Griefahn (born 3 October 1954 in Mülheim/Ruhr, Nordrhein-Westfalen) is a German politician of the SPD (since 1992).
She studied math and social sciences in Göttingen and Hamburg and graduated with a diploma in 1979. Griefahn is married to chemist Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart and has three children.
From 1990 to 1998 she was minister in Lower Saxony, since 1998 she is a member of the German Bundestag.
