Monghidoro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 30 km south of Bologna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,905 and an area of 48.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Monghidoro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ca' del Costa, Ca' de Marchi, Ca' di Pallerino, Campeggio, Frassineta, La Ca', Pallerano, Piamaggio, and Madonna dei boschi.
Monghidoro borders the following municipalities: Firenzuola, Loiano, Monterenzio, Monzuno, San Benedetto Val di Sambro.
