[edit] Formation

Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster formed the tag team of Money Inc. in February 1992 when Jimmy Hart put their names in place of The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) on a contract for a WWF Tag Team Championship match against The Legion of Doom. After DiBiase and Schyster (now managed by Hart) defeated the LOD at a house show on February 7, 1992 to win the titles, The Natural Disasters would fire Hart as their manager and turn face, beginning a feud with Money Inc. over the WWF Tag Team Championship.

[edit] Feuds

[edit] The Natural Disasters

The Natural Disasters got their first shot at Money Inc. at WrestleMania VIII and would win the match via countout. However, since titles can only change hands via pinfall or submission, Money Inc. retained the titles. After this result repeated itself on television and at house shows, the Natural Disasters finally defeated Money Inc. via pinfall on July 20, 1992 to win the titles.

At the October 13, 1992 Wrestling Challenge taping, Money Inc. defeated The Natural Disasters (following interference by The Headshrinkers) in a rematch to reclaim the WWF Tag Team Championship.

[edit] The Nasty Boys

After winning back the titles, Money Inc. entered a feud with The Nasty Boys. At the 1992 Survivor Series, The Natural Disasters and The Nasty Boys defeated Money Inc. and The Beverly Brothers in an 8-man elimination tag team match. This would be the only major victory The Nasty Boys would get over Money Inc., as they failed to win the tag team titles in several shots on television and at house shows in late 1992 into early 1993.

[edit] The Mega-Maniacs

On the February 15, 1993 airing of Monday Night RAW, following a match between Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake (in what was his first match since the injury to his face over three years prior) and Ted DiBiase, The Million Dollar Man held Beefcake for Schyster to hit him in the face with the briefcase, but Jimmy Hart repeatedly got in the way before he was eventually shoved out of the ring by Schyster. I.R.S. then hit Beefcake in the face with the briefcase. Money Inc. was eventually sent to the back as Hart called for medical assistance. Shortly thereafter, Hulk Hogan made his return to WWF television, and he teamed with Beefcake to form The Mega-Maniacs with Hart as their manager. Hogan and Beefcake challenged Money Inc. for the WWF Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania IX, but the Mega-Maniacs were disqualified after Hogan used Beefcake's steel face protector as a weapon.

[edit] The Steiner Brothers

Money Inc. would feud with The Steiner Brothers in the spring of 1993. At the 1993 King of the Ring, The Steiner Brothers and The Smokin' Gunns defeated Money Inc. and The Headshrinkers in an 8-man tag team match. The following day, a chain of quick title switches would begin between Money Inc. and The Steiners, beginning with The Steiners defeating Money Inc. for the WWF Tag Team Championship on June 14, 1993. Just two days later, Money Inc. would win the titles back, only for The Steiners to take the gold again three days after that. The Steiners then retained the titles in several more rematches.

[edit] Razor Ramon

After failing to regain the WWF Tag Team Championship, Money Inc. went into a feud with Razor Ramon. DiBiase had been making fun of Ramon over his upset loss to the 1-2-3 Kid, and even offered Ramon a job as his custodian. Ramon rebelled against DiBiase, turning face. Ramon would end up distracting DiBiase in a match against the 1-2-3 Kid, causing the Million Dollar Man an embarassing loss of his own. At SummerSlam 1993, Razor Ramon defeated Ted DiBiase in what would be DiBiase's last appearance of the year, and the last match of his career. Later in the event, I.R.S. defeated the 1-2-3 Kid. DiBiase went on a leave of absence for several months, and Schyster went back to being a singles wrestler, feuding with Ramon himself.

[edit] Reunions

Ted DiBiase and Mike Rotunda would reunite on several occasions following the disbanding of Money Inc. In 1994, I.R.S. became one of the first members of of DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation stable and remained in the group until leaving the WWF in 1995. In 1996, DiBiase and Rotunda (as V.K. Wallstreet) were briefly together again in World Championship Wrestling as members of the nWo.

Money Inc. made a surprise one-night return on the October 9, 2006 RAW Family Reunion. Ric Flair had a match against Mitch of the Spirit Squad. As always, all members of the Spirit Squad were present. To even the odds, Flair brought out Rowdy Roddy Piper, Money Inc., and Arn Anderson as his backup. Flair's legendary allies kept the Squad in check as The Nature Boy won the match.

[edit] Titles and accomplishments

  • 3-time WWF World Tag Team Champions
  • PWI ranked them #61 of the 100 best tag teams during the "PWI Years" in 2003.
