This is the range of hues that would be perceived by a normal human observer for black bodies with temperatures between 100 and 10,000 Kelvin. The color for each pixel has been determined by Monte Carlo simulation of Planck's law according to CIE 1964. Intensity is not represented; radiation from a 100 K black body would be invisible, while a 10,000 K "black" body would instantly cause blindness (and worse) at normal computer viewing distances.
