Molopo River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Molopo River is located in southern Africa. The river generally flows to the southwest from its source, and has a length of approximately 960 kilometres. River flow is intermittent, and although it is considered part of the Orange River system, it is only when in flood that the Molopo actually joins with the Orange River.
The river provides a significant portion of the border between Botswana and South Africa.
The city of Mafikeng, South Africa, lies on the banks of the river.
