Molly Ringworm

Molly Ringworm is a punk rock band from Kansas City, Missouri. Consisting of radical artist Mike Deviant (1971-) the band has been active since late 1987. They are noteworthy, because they are generally considered the first thrash band in Kansas City. They have always existed under the radar of the establishment music press primarily due to their extreme political views.
Despite the post-9-11 political landscape, Molly Ringworm have varied little in their left-wing political views. Generally they are considered a counterpoint to the stereotypical image of rural right-wing groups, which seem to have a much greater influence in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area such as Pastor Jerry Johnston and the First Family Church based in nearby Overland Park, Kansas.
