From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Molalla High School is a public high school of about 850 students in Molalla, Oregon. It is located at 357 Frances Street, Molalla, OR 97038. The High School is located across the street from the Molalla Aquatic Park. The students of Molalla High School have an Indian as their mascot. The Indian was chosen because the City of Molalla was named after the native Molala Indians that populated the area.
[edit] History
Molalla High School's first graduating class came around in 1911, with a new high school being dedicated in February, 1926. This newly dedicated high school was the Molalla Union High School, and served as the junior and senior campus until the Scotts Mills earthquake, registering 5.3 on the Richter Scale, on March 25, 1993, rendered the building unsafe for students. The present high school, which previously served as a freshman and sophomore campus, has since been renovated to incorporate all four years of high school.
