Moira Anderson Foundation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Moira Anderson Foundation is a charitable organisation, based in Lanarkshire, Scotland.

It was founded, in 2000, by Sandra Brown (campaigner), in memory of a 12-year-old schoolchild, Moira McCall Anderson, who went missing in Coatbridge in February 1957, and who has never been found.

Although the Strathclyde Police files still record Moira McCall Anderson as a missing person, it is widely believed that the child was abducted, abused and killed.

The Moira Anderson Foundation exists to support families afflicted by child sexual abuse and related problems. To date (February 2007), over 500 families have received help and support from the Foundation.
