Moiety (Myst)

The Moiety are a group of rebels from the game Riven.

They were formed when the island split and Gehn was trapped there. After that, the Moiety split from the Rivenese and lived in underground caves and tunnels, occasionally venturing forth to terrorize the Rivenese or destroy Gehn's machines. When Katran came back to Riven, she was rescued from Gehn by the Moiety, whom she lived with until she was captured by Gehn. She was torn about living with them, because her family were among those the Moiety terrorized, but she couldn't leave them for fear of being attacked by Gehn. When the age of Riven started to deteriorate, Katran wrote an age for the Moiety called Tay.
